It was $35. Battery is dead supposedly but it had enough charge after an hour to run the horn and spin one rotation before dying. My mom is angry. She wants it on Craigslist by the end of the day. I plan on making it work, doing some Napoleon Dynamite/ Hot Rod type jumps then profiting. Or I could keep it to get around campus.

I'm guessing it uses powered wheelchair/mobility scooter sized batteries. They aren't too expensive to replace.

Keep it. My mom was super pissed when she found out that I got a motorcycle permit as soon as I turned 18 but it was seriously one of the best decisions of my youth.

I found a full set on ebay for $30. It's road legal here in NC. I think I could get $150 for it, profiting at $90.

That's my plan. First day out: motorcycle. I like older Hondas. The Rebel just seems so economical.

Sweet, sounds like a plan. And you can ride it until you sell it on.

I love the movie Hot Rod. I built my own motorcycle because that movie was awesome and I wanted to go fast. (review to come I swear.)

Angry because you bought it? Or angry because she doesn't want you to ride it?
